About Me

Hi, I’m Jenni, and I’m glad you are here! Let me share just a little about myself. I was born and raised in Pinellas County, Florida. It is the most densely county in the state, and we love it here! The beach is only a few minutes away and it is almost always sunny. Every day feels like a vacation!

I earned a Master’s degree in Varying Exceptionalities from the University of South Florida and have taught in a variety of settings and kids of all ages. From my background in teaching high school kids with special needs to teaching Music with Mar classes, I have enjoyed working with families for decades.

My husband and I fostered children through social services, and we adopted seven children into our forever family. Our grandson lives in Wisconsin and visits often.

In the recent past, I experienced a severe health crisis that lasted for many years resulting in complex trauma in me and my family. In 2021, one of our children had a serious mental health crisis which led me on a path I never expected. In reaching out for help with our own struggles, I discovered the field of trauma-informed care, TBRI, relational neuroscience, attachment theory, and Connected Families. My research then led me to pursue furthering my education by becoming a Certified Connected Families Parent Coach. After completing parent coach training, I became a Certified Infant/Toddler Developmental Specialist, and I am currently working as an Early Interventionist for Therapy Playhouse.

Most recently, I have partnered with A Door of Hope licensing agency to provide education and parent coaching for caregivers. This role has expanded my reach so that I can help overwhelmed, anxious parents by equipping them with tools based in decades of brain research and seen through a biblical lens.
